Lynqra builds AI agents, automations and small apps for Singapore precision engineering, machining, sheet metal and fabrication firms. The system reads RFQs and drawings, drafts quotations, builds job travellers and certificate packs, and keeps quality records moving. Your estimators and QA decide, and nothing goes to a customer until someone in your firm approves it.
The machines are scheduled to the minute. The paperwork around them often is not. RFQs arrive with drawings attached, and an estimator reads every title block for material, finish, tolerances and quantity before looking up what a similar part cost last time. Once the PO comes in, someone writes the job traveller, buys material, sends parts out for heat treatment or plating, and collects a certificate for each step.
Customers in aerospace, medical and semiconductor work expect that paper to be complete. A shipment can need a certificate of conformance, material certificates such as EN 10204 type 3.1, outside process certificates and inspection reports, all traceable to the job. Aerospace customers may ask for a first article inspection to AS9102, and medical device makers work to ISO 13485. When a part fails inspection, the non-conformance report and its corrective action have to be recorded and closed. Most of it is assembled by hand from emails, scans and shared folders.
The work we see most often in precision engineering and fabrication firms:
Each one is a separate build with its own fixed quote. Most firms start with one and add the next once it runs.
RFQ emails and drawing title blocks read for material, finish, tolerances, quantity and delivery date, matched to similar past jobs, and set up as a quote sheet. Your estimator sets cycle times and the price.
Job travellers drafted from the PO and your standard routings. Material and process certificates matched to the job as they arrive, and the shipping pack assembled for QA to sign.
NCRs logged from inspection results and customer complaints, corrective actions assigned and chased to closure, and records kept ready for your next audit.
Your team keeps working the way it does today. The system picks up what they send and does the drafting.
Customer emails and portals, drawings, supplier certificates and inspection results. Nobody has to learn a new place to put things on the first day.
A quote sheet, a job traveller, a certificate pack with its gaps listed, or an NCR, in your formats.
Prices, lead times, certificates of conformance and every decision on a non-conforming part wait for a named person. The system never signs or sends these on its own.
Every document sits under the job number, so anyone can see what is missing before a shipment, and an auditor can trace a part back to its material.
Every Lynqra build keeps a person on prices, quality decisions and customer commitments. In a precision engineering firm that means your team decides:
The system does the reading, matching, drafting and reminders. It flags what looks wrong, such as a material certificate whose heat number does not match the job, or a shipment pack missing an inspection report. It does not decide.
Job shop ERP and quality management software can hold routings, certificates and NCRs in one place. If you are ready for one and your process matches it, use it, and we will tell you so in the consult. Firms usually come to us when they have a system, but RFQs, certificates and inspection results still arrive as PDFs and emails that someone has to file and retype.
| Option | Works well when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Spreadsheets and a shared drive | Few customers and an experienced QA lead who knows where everything is | Certificates that go missing at shipment or audit time |
| Job shop ERP or quality management software | You want jobs, routings, stock and quality in one system and can manage the change | Setup and migration effort, and customer and supplier documents that still arrive in every format |
| Automation or a small app from Lynqra | Your system or sheets work, but the reading, matching and chasing around them do not | It needs one clear first workflow and someone in your firm to own it |
Pick the one workflow that costs your team the most time or money. For most precision engineering and fabrication firms it is one of these:
If you make high volumes of a few repeat parts for one or two customers, the paperwork is probably settled already. If your ERP or QMS already reads certificates and builds packs, use that. And if your customers require everything to go through their own portals, check what the portal allows before automating around it.
We will not build anything that signs a certificate of conformance or decides what happens to a part with nobody checking. Those decisions carry your firm's name.
The same three steps for every firm. You know the scope and the price before any work starts.
Bring one workflow and a real example, such as a recent RFQ with its drawings, or a full shipment pack. We map how it runs today and agree what to automate and what must stay with your team.
You get a written quote and timeline. We build around your templates and the tools your team already uses, and add a small app only where something is missing.
The new flow runs alongside your current one first. We train the people who will run it and watch the first jobs before anything expands.
It can read title blocks, general notes, revision letters and tables on clean PDFs. It does not work out set-ups, machining strategy or cycle times. Those stay with your estimator.
They stay in systems your firm controls. We agree with you which AI services may process them, in line with your customers' NDAs. If a customer does not allow outside processing, their drawings stay out of the system.
No. It assembles the pack and lists anything missing. Your QA signs.
It keeps NCRs, corrective actions and certificates traceable to each job, which is the kind of record auditors ask to see. It does not make you compliant on its own, and it is not a certification. If you are certified to ISO 9001, note that a new edition was published in September 2026, and your certification body will set the transition dates.
The consult is free. If the workflow is worth building, you get a fixed-scope quote before any work starts.
Funding pathways such as EDGE may be assessed case by case, subject to eligibility and approval. We work with advisory partners on funding and never promise a grant.
