Visibility
What you can see
The workspace shows indexed catalogues, matching products, source passages and a review queue. Catalogue ingestion status makes it clear which documents have been processed.
Anonymised application build
This catalogue intelligence app turns a collection of product PDFs into a searchable workspace. Staff can look up part numbers, search by requirements and compare products, with links back to the source pages.

The workflow
A customer asks for a particular capacity, size or feature. The answer may sit across several catalogues, and someone has to check both the specification and where it came from.
Read PDFs page by page, detect duplicate pages and organise product, model and specification records.
Look up exact part numbers or describe a requirement. Review matching products and compare up to four sets of specifications side by side.
Open the cited catalogue page to verify a result. Review uncertain extractions before relying on them in customer work.

Human control
Source documents remain the reference for checking an answer. Claude-assisted answers and extraction are available when configured; local search also works without the AI connection. This proof of concept does not issue quotations or write to an ERP.
A practical fit
A working proof of concept for distributors and technical sales teams that answer product questions from supplier catalogues. Production use would add the required access controls, scale and business-system integrations.
